Making Money Online Forum

What to do with those coupons that you impulsively bought off of Groupon, Living Social, Ideeli, or any of the many other discounted ‘deal of the day’ sites? Sell ‘em!

That’s right, there’s a site for everything these days, and selling coupons, while initially relegated to online bulletin board sites, such as Craig’s List, have established their own re-sale sites and are open for business.

In case you’re not in the know about these daily deal sites, they provide a great, affordable way to discover what a city has to offer by selling heavily discounted deals for services and products in your area or online - With deals like Living Social’s Amazon price buster, offering a $20 gift card for $10 and surpassing one million gift cards sold, there are sure to be some “miss-buys.” You thought you wanted, or needed it, but in the end it was something you were never going to use.

After doing a little investigation, I came up with several names of deal for “resale” businesses, with a few emerging as the leaders of the pack. DealsGoRound, CoupRecoup, and Lifesta are suddenly making an impact in the market.

Yael Gavish, co-founder of Lifesta, says she saw a need for a forum focused on the aftermarket. She had a friend visiting her in New York, who had purchased a Groupon certificate. Unfortunately, when the friend arrived, they discovered the restaurant was closed for renovations. Her friend was out the money, but the idea was created.

"People buy daily deals and they all work on the impulse buy," explains Yael Gavish of Lifesta.com. "So you think you're definitely going to this, but then, it turns out that 20-40 percent of these daily deals are never really used." Their site has seen a monthly growth of 50 percent, mainly through word of mouth.

A great solution for “buyers remorse” if I ever saw one!

While there are a lot of GPT (Get-Paid-To) sites on the web that pay you money to fill out surveys and complete offers, the best site for earning money online is CashCrate.

What is CashCrate?

CashCrate is a GPT (Get-Paid-To) site that allows you to earn money in multiple ways. It has a high paying referral program, and is regarded as one of the best GPT sites on the internet. It is free to join. It is advertised as worldwide, but from what I've heard, most of the offers are for U.S. only.

How Do You Earn Money on CashCrate?

You earn money on CashCrate by completing offers and taking surveys. CashCrate offers a daily survey that pays $0.80. There are many free offers and surveys that are simple to complete. By "free offer" I mean you complete forms and give your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, etc. in exchange for money.

There are also credit card offers and offers that require shipping and handling fees. Some CashCraters love these offers because they pay substantially more. I avoid them because I don't like giving my credit card out for a trial membership that I have to remember to cancel later (which is what most of the offers tend to be).

I stick with the absolutely free offers and have done pretty well so far.

How Much Can You Earn on CashCrate?

The free offers tend to pay between $.50 - $1.00. The daily survey pays $0.80. The credit card offers tend to pay much more - like $20. The pay varies, and each offer is clearly listed with it's pay amount. I easily made $20.56 in two weeks doing free offers with no referrals. I was basically testing the system and I only put in a few hours of work to achieve this amount. If you can put more time in it, you can easily earn a lot more! Some CashCraters make hundreds a month.

Does CashCrate Have a Referral Program?

Yes! CashCrate has one of the best paying GPT referral programs around. You get $3.00 for all first level referrals (that's the people that sign up using your referral link) that earn $10.00. You then get 20% of everything they earn. You also get 10% of everything your second lever referrals make (that's the people the first level referrals sign up). After you get 50 referrals, the percentages increase (25%/10%). Get 50 more and they increase again!

How Long Does it Take to Get Credited Money for an Offer on CashCrate?

Most free offers credit to your account with in minutes. Some take a day. I have not completed any credit card offers, but from what I'm told, it takes up to a week (they have to charge the card and clear everything before crediting you with the money).

When/How Does CashCrate Pay You?

CashCrate pays once a month by old-fashioned check through the mail. They pay mid-month for the previous month's earnings. For example, I will get a check mailed to me in mid-June for the money I earned in May. You must make $10 before they send you a check. If you don't make $10 in one month, they will roll it over to the next month. But making $10 with CashCrate is easy!

CashCrate Tips:

Get a free e-mail address especially for CashCrate offers. When you fill out offers/surveys and give them your e-mail address, you will get spam. Get a free hotmail or gmail account. Make sure you check the account though - some offers require you to click a link in a confirmation e-mail to get paid.

Get a free phone number especially for online offers. Your phone number will also get spammed. And most of the offers require a valid phone number. Go to www.privatephone.com and get a free phone number. You will get voicemail on the web. You can choose if you want to listen to it or not. NOTE: Apparently some offers won't go through with a phone number from www.privatephone.com. Look on the CashCrate forum for information.

Read the CashCrate Forums. There is a lot of information on the CashCrate forums from members who are earning and newbies who have questions. It is a very active forum and you can learn a lot just by reading.
